Having to flee your home and start again in a new country is an extremely difficult thing to do. Far away from family and friends, you may not speak the language and your support network is likely to be nonexistent. Add to this the complexities of the UK asylum system and ‘the hostile environment’, and it’s no surprise that people like Sarah can be initially refused asylum, ending up experiencing homelessness, feeling scared and alone.
That’s where Boaz steps in. We provide safe accommodation and the support needed to help people grow a better future for themselves. Everyone who lives in Boaz accommodation receives holistic one-to-one support from a named support worker. This means that the people we work with have someone to help them access good quality legal advice, medical care, wellbeing initiatives, educational, voluntary and possible employment opportunities.
