In a year marked by shifting policies and increasing hostility towards people seeking sanctuary, our 2025-26 report offers a powerful testament to the resilience of individuals and the transformative effect of community support.

In the context of rising popularity of far-right politics, and the escalation in racially-motivated violence and hate crime, we know it is an uncertain, fearful time for many in our communities.

But we also know that welcome, solidarity and community are more powerful than hate and division. And our belief that everyone deserves safety, dignity and a home remains just as strong now as when we started this work over 20 years ago.

We hope that our 2025-26 impact report offers a reminder that simple acts of solidarity and compassion can still make a tangible difference, and that hope is not only possible, but urgently needed.
