Volunteering during Covid
Our priority is correctly balancing the need to deliver appropriate services with the safety and wellbeing of our volunteers, and the clients and staff they come into contact with. We've adapted different aspects of how we work to ensure we can do this.
We've adopted these policies for 'Covid season' to guide volunteer activity at Boaz:
- Tier 5 (lockdowns)
- All volunteering activity has to be from own home or put on hold.
- Tier 4
- Extremely vulnerable and vulnerable volunteers active in their own homes only. All other volunteers only active outdoors and following social distancing guidelines.
- Tier 3 and below
- All volunteers active following government guidelines and any medical advice they receive, with extremely vulnerable volunteers taking extra measures as advised e.g. face masks at all times.
No volunteer would be expected to volunteer in any situation unless absolutely happy to.
Current volunteer opportunities
There are currently no general volunteering opportunities - but please do check back with us in the future.
How to find out more about volunteering with us
The best way to be kept up to date with opportunities at the Boaz Trust is by joining our email list, following us on Twitter or Facebook, or checking this page regularly.
We also recommend checking Street Support for other great Manchester-based organisations that are looking for volunteers.
