Can you respond to the increasing pressure on people seeking sanctuary, and help us to provide people with a safe place to stay, food and other essentials, as well as holistic one-to-one support in the coming months?

Yes, I can donate today

Over the last month we have watched in disbelief the unfolding tragedy in Ukraine and the heart-breaking scenes as millions of people are forced to flee the devastations of war.

Here in the UK, the pressure on people who Boaz accommodates and supports – many of whom have fled from conflicts not currently in the spotlight – continues to increase.

From the everyday stresses of the increasing costs of food and other basic essentials, to the chaos, cruelty and incompetence of our country’s current asylum process, and the soon to be legislated Nationality and Borders Bill,  which threatens to criminalise many people seeking sanctuary - the people who we work with are carrying an increasingly heavy burden, when all they are seeking is the chance of safety and peace.

In spite of this, in the last month 76 people have benefitted from Boaz’s services, receiving legal support, attending wellbeing activities, and accessing education, employment and voluntary opportunities.

With all the heaviness in the world at the moment, it is especially important to shine a light on this goodness. At Boaz, we are as determined as ever to see more of this. We want to show people kindness and provide sanctuary and safety to those who seek it. But we can only do this together.

If you are able, will you please donate today, and help to relieve the pressure on people seeking sanctuary here?

Your support could help us to provide:

• Vital support for food and other basic essentials to help people seeking sanctuary cope with the rising costs of food and toiletries.

• Holistic one-to-one support to help people navigate our country’s chaotic asylum system and access specialist support to recover from the trauma of persecution and war.
