“Never give up, no matter what life throws at you.”
I am excited to share with you Boaz’s 2019/2020 report!
During the past year our refugee and asylum seeking clients have shown incredible resilience, not only in the face of asylum destitution and homelessness, but also in the Coronavirus pandemic. This report is full of reflections and stories from clients – I hope you are as moved and inspired as I am by their words and actions.
The incredible generosity of you - Boaz's supporters and friends - has given Boaz clients the safe places to stay and the support they have needed to get through, and also give out, in what has been an incredibly challenging year. One of our clients, Tawonga, shares how she has been able to help others during lockdown despite the difficulties she faces:
“As an asylum seeker, being in lockdown is made worse…it makes me feel like life is at a standstill. I have been volunteering with a homeless charity…I know how it feels and enjoy making a change in someone’s life.”
Without your support, Tawonga and all of our clients would not have had somewhere to stay and keep safe. Thank you all for supporting them and the Boaz Trust.
