>> National Destitution Accommodation Conference - report:

The National Destitution Accommodation Conference happened on Saturday October 14th at Brunswick. There were 30 delegates from Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, London, Coventry, Nottingham, Middlesbrough, Newcastle, Sheffield, Wolverhampton and Oldham - all people already involved in accommodating refused asylum seekers, or people planning to do so. Pete Cunningham, founder of Green Pastures Housing, Southport, was the keynote speaker, and encouraged us to believe God for big things in tackling the problem of destitution. The amazing Green Pastures story can be found at www.greenpastureshousing.co.uk . Established projects from 5 different cities shared their experiences, and a conference pack was produced to share expertise and resources. If anyone would like a copy, they can order one for a small donation (minimum £2) to cover postage and printing.
